How to Check Your SIM Card Details on TAFCOP Portal

What is TAFCOP? 

TAFCOP, launched by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), is a free online platform that enables mobile customers to monitor all SIM cards issued using Aadhaar Card or ID proof. It was introduced to curb telecom fraud and protect consumer rights, especially against misuse of identification in issuing SIM cards.  

Why SIM Card Details Check? 

With increasing cases of identity theft and telecom fraud, it is important to know  

  • How many mobile numbers are related to your identity  
  • If an unauthorized SIM has been released in your name  
  • To block any unknown numbers related to your ID 

How to Check the SIM Card Issued to your name on TAFCOP: 

Follow these simple steps: 

  1. Go to the official Tafcop portalhttps://tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in/telecomUser/  
  1. Enter your mobile number 

– Input your 10-digit mobile number and click on  

– Click on Request OTP. 

  1. Verify OTP 

– You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your number. 

– Enter OTP to move forward. 

  1. View linked mobile number 

– The portal will display a list of all mobile numbers associated with your identity (based on Aadhaar or ID proof). 

  1. Take action (if necessary) 

– If you see any unauthorized or unknown numbers, then you can flag them on clicking “Report” or “Not my number” option.  

– You can request for deactivation of those numbers. 

Is it Safe to Use TAFCOP? 

Yes, the TAFCOP portal is safe. This platform was launched by the government under the Department of Telecommunications. Your data is preserved and used only for verification purposes.
