After a successful 5G launch in Mumbai, leading telecom operator Vi has now rolled out its 5G services across major cricket stadiums in 11 cities—just in time for the ongoing India T20 League (March to May). Fans attending matches in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam can now enjoy blazing-fast 5G connectivity right from their seats.

To support the massive footfall during live matches, Vi has boosted its network infrastructure significantly. This includes deploying 53 new 5G sites, enhancing capacity at 44 existing locations, and installing 9 Cell On Wheels (CoWs) to ensure consistent high-speed coverage in and around the stadiums.

To further enhance the digital experience, Vi has equipped these venues with advanced technologies like Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and Massive MIMO, enabling seamless streaming, social sharing, and real-time updates—even in packed stadiums.

Who Can Access Vi 5G?

Vi users with 5G-enabled smartphones can access unlimited Vi 5G at these stadiums by simply enabling 5G in their device settings—no additional steps required.
