Vodafone Idea 5G Launched in Kolkata

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has officially launched its 5G services in Kolkata, which has made it another city in West Bengal after Siliguri. With this rollout, Vi continues its network expansion in India, aiming to strengthen its position in India’s highly competitive telecom market. 

After the 5G launch of Vodafone Idea in Kolkata, the operator recently launched in 9 more cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Patna, Mumbai, Jaipur, Mysore and Nagpur. The company aims to be the telecom provider that offers unlimited 5G data in all plans, hopefully this value-based approach will help attract and maintain subscribers between Jio and hard competition from Airtel. 

According to the company, Vi 5G is compatible with all smartphones launched in India after January 5, 2020, if they support VoLTE connectivity. This character ensures a wide base of users who can switch to the 5G network of Vi. 

The Kolkata launch marks another milestone in Vi’s strategy to expand beyond metro cities and tap into major regional markets. With a rapid in India’s digital change, Vodafone Idea aims to give its 5G network as a reliable and inexpensive option, offering rapid speed, low delay and enhanced connectivity experiences. 

By continuously expanding its presence across India, Vi is sending a clear message that he intends to compete with rivals, while ensuring that users in both urban and regional regions benefit from the 5G revolution.
