Vi Expands Retail Network with 100+ New Stores, Reaches 2,500 Outlets Nationwide

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has significantly expanded its physical retail presence, opening over 100 new flagship stores in metro and Tier-1 cities over the last six months. This expansion brings its total network to over 2,500 Vi Stores and Mini Stores across 600 cities in India.

The newly launched Vi Stores, directly operated by the company, serve as flagship customer experience centers. In November, Vi unveiled additional outlets in key urban hubs, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata.

Nationwide Expansion and Employment Boost

Vi also established new outlets in cities across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Punjab, now operating over 500 flagship stores nationwide. The remaining 2,000 Vi Mini Stores are partner-operated, primarily serving Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Together, these stores provide employment to over 9,000 people, both directly and indirectly. Vi supports its partners with setup and operational guidance to streamline the launch process.

Focus on Customer Experience and Growth

Vi’s retail stores collectively serve over 50,000 customers daily, while many users also opt to resolve their issues through the Vi App. According to Vi, its focus on customer experience is driving consistent growth in the postpaid segment, supported by enhanced in-store services and stronger value propositions.

Record Low Customer Churn

Reflecting its enhanced service strategy, the latest data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) indicates that Vi recorded its lowest customer churn rate in February 2025, marking a significant milestone since the merger of Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
