Artemis Hospitals and Medulance Launch 5G-Enabled Smart Ambulances

Gurugram-based Artemis Hospitals, in collaboration with Medulance Healthcare, unveiled India’s first 5G-enabled advanced ambulances on Wednesday, marking a significant step forward in transforming emergency medical services.

According to a hospital official, the initiative leverages next-generation 5G connectivity, AI-driven diagnostics, and real-time telemedicine to deliver faster, smarter, and more effective medical responses during critical emergencies.

“This advanced ambulance is not just a vehicle—it’s a mobile extension of the emergency room,” Artemis said in an official statement. “Supercharged with 5G, it enables real-time video consultations, live transmission of vital signs, and immediate expert intervention—helping hospitals prepare and act faster even before the patient arrives.”

Setting a New Benchmark in Emergency Response

Dr. Devlina Chakravarty, Managing Director of Artemis Hospitals, emphasized the initiative’s potential to significantly reduce preventable deaths caused by delayed treatment. “This technology is a game-changer in a country where millions of lives are lost due to delayed emergency care,” she said. “It sets a new benchmark for healthcare delivery by ensuring timely, accurate medical attention—regardless of a patient’s location.”

Dr. Vishal Arora, Chief of Business Transformation & Operational Excellence at Artemis Hospitals, added “This is a major leap in emergency response. With the speed and reliability of 5G, we can deliver real-time, data-driven assistance that drastically improves patient outcomes. It’s not just about faster ambulances—it’s about smarter care, from the moment the emergency occurs until the patient is stabilized in the ER.”

Technology That Saves Lives

In cases such as heart attacks, strokes, or trauma, every second counts. The 5G-enabled ambulance allows for the immediate transmission of vital data—including heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure—from the field to hospital command centers. This enables clinicians to make rapid, informed decisions and prepare treatment protocols in advance.

Additionally, integrated AI systems continuously monitor and analyze the patient’s condition during transit, offering predictive insights and early warnings for deteriorating health indicators.

A Collaborative Vision for the Future

Pranav Bajaj, Co-founder and CEO of Medulance Healthcare, praised the partnership “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Artemis team for their trust and vision. This collaboration is a pioneering step toward redefining emergency medical care in India.”

This cutting-edge deployment positions Artemis Hospitals and Medulance Healthcare at the forefront of healthcare innovation, setting the stage for smarter, faster, and more connected emergency response systems nationwide.
