What is Vi’s Smart Link Protection?

The Smart Link Protection feature is an AI-powered security device that works on the network level, meaning users don’t want to install anything. It will discover harmful hyperlinks in messages or calls and block them earlier than they ever reach the customer’s tool. This method reduces the chances of customers by chance clicking on phishing links that look true however are designed to thief non-public information.

Why This Matters for Customers

Cyber criminals are using SMS, messaging apps and disguised international calls to spread malicious links. These phishing efforts often mimic real websites, making them difficult to find out. By deploying smart link protection, Vi is transferring responsibility from customer to the network itself-the telecom provider is turning into the first line of defense against online scams.

A Safer Digital Experience for Vi Users

Smart link security rollouts are required in the coming weeks, and the best thing is that customers do not need to do anything to enable it. The system will work in the background, filter the harmful material while customers continue using their phone normally.

What does this mean to users?

  • Lowest possibility of spam links and messages passing through.
  • Enhanced safety from phishing attacks.
