Viettel Empowers Indian Industries with Cutting Edge Private 5G

Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (Viettel High Tech) and QuadGen Wireless Solutions Pvt Ltd. (QuadGen) recently celebrated the handover ceremony of Private 5G, a remarkable achievement resulting from Viettel’s research, manufacturing, and supply efforts in collaboration with QuadGen. This achievement transpired only five months after both entities signed a service provision contract for the Indian market.

Since July 2023, Viettel’s engineering team has been actively engaged in India, overseeing the installation, deployment, and trial operation of the 5G Private (5GP). The comprehensive training and knowledge transfer process for QuadGen engineers extended over a month, culminating in the successful and seamless operation of the 5GP system. This system encompasses a range of equipment products spanning all three network layers, including radio access network (Macro, Micro, AIO base stations), 100G transmission network, and 5GC core network.

The 5GP system enables the provision of private network services, offering eMBB data and VoNR service. These services serve as critical connectivity infrastructure for diverse sectors such as smart factories, smart cities, healthcare, education, and security.

Dr. C.S. Rao, Chairman & Co-Founder of QuadGen, expressed the company’s strategic goals in seeking partners for the production and supply of 5G equipment in the Indian market. Emphasizing the government’s focus on utilizing domestic products, he highlighted the significant demand for 5GP networks across various industries. The collaboration with Viettel, chosen for its ability to provide tailored solutions, aims to bring excellence and innovation to customers in India and neighboring countries.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, CEO of Viettel High Tech, acknowledged the specific requirements of the Indian telecommunications equipment market. He emphasized Viettel’s strength in customizing solutions to meet customer needs, stating that the company would not only provide 5GP but also offer guidance on deploying 5G public networks for telecommunications businesses in India.

In addition to the handover ceremony, Ai20X (USA), QuadGen (India), and Viettel High Tech (Vietnam) signed a Strategic Technology Collaboration during the event. This collaboration, seen as a significant milestone, aims to foster innovation and drive growth in the 5G field in India. Leveraging the expertise of these three leading companies, the collaboration is expected to capitalize on business opportunities in the 5G network realm, contributing to the growth of all parties involved.
