TRAI Introduces 2024 Regulations for Property Digital Connectivity Ratings

TRAI Introduces 2024 Regulations for Property Digital Connectivity Ratings

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced the “Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity Regulations, 2024.” This framework aims to rate buildings or properties based on their digital connectivity, promoting strong digital infrastructure through a collaborative and sustainable model.

These regulations are designed to motivate property managers to enhance digital connectivity for current and potential customers. Higher ratings are expected to increase a property’s appeal, attracting more users, buyers, or investors, and thereby adding value. The regulations apply to property managers seeking digital connectivity ratings for eligible properties, Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies (DCRAs) that assess and award these ratings, and service providers working with property managers to enhance digital connectivity infrastructure.
