JioHome Plans, Benefits and Offers to Target 100 Million Customers

JioHome Plans, Benefits and Offers to Target 100 Million Customers

Reliance Jio has unified its AirFiber and Fiber services under a new brand name—JioHome. During a recent presentation, the company announced its ambitious goal of connecting 100 million homes across India. This strategic move consolidates its 5G-based Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service, AirFiber, and its fiber-based broadband service under a single umbrella, much like Airtel’s unified approach.

JioHome Service Overview

According to the official website, JioHome offers a comprehensive package of unlimited Wi-Fi and non-stop entertainment, featuring:

  • 800+ TV channels
  • OTT apps
  • Gaming
  • Computer-on-TV functionality
  • Smart Surveillance and Home Networking

Previously, Jio offered separate plans for FWA and Fiber. Now, all plans are streamlined under the JioHome brand, eliminating the segmented model.

Connection Strategy and Installation Details

During its recent earnings call, Jio clarified its connection strategy:

  • If fiber connectivity is available in a given area, Jio uses it to connect customers.
  • If not, 5G FWA (AirFiber) is deployed, or in certain cases, UBR (Unlicensed Band Radio) technology.
  • Jio claims it has mapped the entire country to optimize technology deployment based on local throughput capabilities.

Installation Costs:

  • Free with annual plans
  • ₹500 with semi-annual plans
  • ₹1,000 with 3-month plans

Subscribers receive a Wi-Fi router, 4K UHD Smart Set-Top Box (STB), and a voice-activated remote at no additional cost. The STB provides access to:

  • JioTV+
  • JioGames
  • JioPC (transforming your TV into a full-fledged computer)
  • Home Networking and Smart Surveillance

Additionally, users can install the JioTV+ app on their smart TVs for live TV streaming without extra fees or set-top boxes—supporting up to two smart TVs simultaneously.

50-Day Free Trial Offer

February 2025: Jio launched an exclusive 50-day zero-risk free trial for its Fiber and AirFiber services, available to new and existing subscribers.

March 2025: As part of the “Jio Unlimited” Offer, Jio reintroduced the 50-day trial for JioFiber and AirFiber, accessible to Jio SIM users with eligible recharge packs or specific postpaid plans.

April 2025: The offer, initially set to end on March 31, was extended until April 30, 2025. According to the official website, once the trial ends, users are automatically migrated to the ₹599 JioFiber/JioAirFiber postpaid plan.

Promotional banners indicate that the 50-day complimentary trial for eligible Jio Mobility prepaid and postpaid users is still available, suggesting the offer may have been extended further.
