Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been directed to improve the quality of its services in four telecom circles — Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. On Friday, Minister of State for Communications, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, urged the state-run telecom operator to address the persistent power supply issues affecting its towers. To strengthen its business operations, the minister also reviewed BSNL’s current marketing strategies and suggested ways to enhance their effectiveness.

While BSNL is in the process of rolling its 4G network, it should also focus on enhancing the quality of service to refine its marketing approach and to maintain existing customers and attract new, high-to-renunciation customers. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized that BSNL should increase the revenue of its mobile services by 50% in FY 26. Additionally, he called upon the company to work towards increasing its enterprise revenue currents to support overall development.
