Airtel International Roaming Pack Upgraded with More Data and Voice Benefits

Bharti Airtel has introduced an upgraded Rs 1,098 International Roaming (IR) pack for prepaid users, offering enhanced data and voice benefits with global usability. The revamped IR pack now includes more high-speed data and international roaming minutes compared to its predecessor, ensuring seamless connectivity across 189 countries.

Airtel Rs 1,098 Prepaid IR Pack – Key Features

The new Rs 1,098 IR pack provides:

  • 3GB of high-speed data (post 3GB usage, data access is blocked)
  • 200 minutes of outgoing and incoming calls (both local and to India)
  • Free incoming SMS and 20 outgoing SMS
  • 10-day validity
  • International calls while roaming are charged at ₹45 per minute

The previous Rs 899 IR pack offered just 1GB of data and 100 IR minutes for the same 10-day period. With the updated plan, Airtel has increased the price but more than tripled the high-speed data to 3GB and doubled the IR minutes, maintaining the same validity duration.

Global Roaming Without Manual Network Selection

One of the standout features of Airtel’s IR pack is its automatic activation upon arrival in any of the 189 supported countries. Users no longer need to worry about selecting specific packs for different destinations or transit locations. Additionally, there is no need for manual network selection, as the pack seamlessly connects with all supported operators in participating countries.

Enhanced International Roaming Portfolio

Alongside the revamped Rs 1,098 pack, Airtel has also introduced new IR packs and enhanced existing ones with increased data and voice benefits for both prepaid and postpaid customers. These changes include a new 5-day IR pack for prepaid users and improvements to other plans, reflecting Airtel’s commitment to providing better value and seamless global connectivity.
