About Sanchar Saathi App

About Sanchar Saathi App

The Sanchar Saathi App, launched by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, is a digital initiative designed to enhance mobile security and prevent telecom-related fraud. The app provides users with tools to track, block, and verify mobile connections linked to their identity, ensuring greater transparency and security in the telecom sector.

One of its key features is the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register), which allows users to block lost or stolen mobile phones using the IMEI number, preventing misuse. Additionally, the Know Your Mobile (KYM) feature enables users to check the authenticity of mobile devices before purchasing them. The app also helps individuals identify unauthorized SIM cards registered in their name and take action to disconnect them, reducing the risk of identity theft and fraud.

With increasing cyber threats and digital frauds, Sanchar Saathi plays a crucial role in empowering citizens by offering a user-friendly interface to manage and secure their mobile connections. The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of a digitally secure India, ensuring safer and more reliable telecom services for users.
