BSNL SIM Vending Machine for Customers Ease

BSNL, India’s state-owned telecom provider, has launched a new initiative allowing customers to purchase SIM cards via vending machines, simplifying the process and eliminating the need for store visits. These machines, resembling ATMs, enable users to obtain SIM cards at their convenience through the BSNL Self Care app, making the process more efficient and accessible.

SIM Vending Machines for Greater Convenience

Unveiled at the India Mobile Congress in New Delhi, BSNL’s SIM vending machines will be strategically placed in high-traffic areas like railway stations and airports, allowing customers to acquire SIM cards quickly, even outside traditional business hours. This move is expected to expand BSNL’s customer reach and enhance public accessibility to its services.

Preparing for Nationwide 4G and 5G Launches

BSNL is also gearing up for a nationwide rollout of 4G services and has commenced testing for 5G technology. The Communications Minister announced that BSNL’s 5G service is set to launch by June next year, marking a significant enhancement in the company’s service offerings.

Cutting-Edge Technologies and Spam Prevention

At the India Mobile Congress, BSNL showcased innovative technologies such as Intelligent Village and virtual reality applications. The company also revealed an AI-powered system to combat spam calls, addressing a key concern for telecom users. Additionally, BSNL’s partnership with Viasat for improved satellite connectivity will boost calling and internet services, particularly for defense personnel.

Supporting the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Mission

As part of the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, BSNL is committed to using indigenous technology for its services. The company plans to upgrade nearly 100,000 mobile towers to 4G, significantly increasing its network capacity from the current 24,000 towers. BSNL officials have assured the government that enhanced services will be operational within six months, greatly improving connectivity across the country.
