About Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks

About Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks

Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks are essential components of innovative solution. These foundational building blocks are designed to work seamlessly with Telecom Multi-Cloud Foundation, simplifying the design, configuration, and deployment of cloud infrastructure to accelerate the rollout of new services. Integrated within Dell’s factory, these blocks are co-engineered with our cloud platform partners to include all necessary hardware and software for specific workloads at defined scales.

Each Infrastructure Block includes Bare Metal Orchestrator Modules—blueprints that encapsulate the continuous integration testing performed by Dell Technologies and its cloud platform partners. These ensure that the cloud stacks consistently meet telecom Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, Dell’s world-class support team offers a unified support experience for the entire cloud stack, ensuring any issues are swiftly resolved.

Initial Infrastructure Blocks are built on Wind River Studio. Dell Technologies and Wind River are dedicated to helping Communication Service Providers (CSPs) construct the cloud-native networks of the future. This collaboration has led to the integration of PowerEdge servers, Bare Metal Orchestrator management software, and Wind River Studio into a cohesive hardware/software solution. This integration simplifies the deployment and lifecycle management of telco clouds at scale. The first supported use cases include virtual Centralized and Distributed Units (vCU/vDU) for Open RAN and management clusters for the Telecom Multi-Cloud Foundation site controller, with additional use cases to follow.
