Vodafone Idea International Roaming Plans Updated with More Benefits, Know More Here

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced a revision to its International Roaming (IR) postpaid plans, introducing more data, unlimited incoming calls, and additional travel benefits. The move aligns with a surge in overseas travel—64.5 million international passengers flew between January and November 2024, marking an 11.4% year-on-year growth, according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Limited-Time Double Data Offer

Vi has enhanced three of its key IR postpaid plans, now offering double data for a limited period. These revamped plans aim to provide better value and seamless connectivity for both short trips and extended stays, catering to high-data needs like navigation, video calls, streaming, and remote work.

Revised Postpaid Roaming Plans

Vi’s updated IR packs, valid in over 145 countries, include

  • ₹649 Plan (1-day validity): Now offers 1GB data (up from 500MB), 50 voice minutes, and 10 SMS.
  • ₹2,999 Plan (10-day validity): Includes 10GB data (up from 5GB), 300 voice minutes, and 50 SMS.
  • ₹3,999 Plan (30-day validity): Now offers 30GB data (up from 12GB), 1,500 voice minutes, and 100 SMS.

All plans now include unlimited incoming calls, while outgoing call and SMS limits vary by plan.

Flexible Activation and 24/7 Support

Vi customers can pre-schedule roaming pack activation up to 60 days in advance via the Vi app or website. The platform allows easy selection of destination, dates, and preferred plan. Additionally, Vi offers round-the-clock international roaming support to address network or service issues.

Travel Security with Baggage Protection

Vi continues its partnership with Blue Ribbon Bags, offering baggage protection for ₹99. Customers can claim up to ₹19,800 per bag if checked-in luggage is delayed or lost and not recovered within 96 hours.

“With these upgraded IR offerings, Vi delivers a customer-first roaming experience—more data, reliable support, and added travel peace of mind,” the company said in a statement on May 20, 2025.
