Sensorise, an Indian IoT Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions provider, has introduced its M2M Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) platform for consumer SIMs, named SenseProM. This launch makes Sensorise the first M2M service provider in India to offer an RSP platform for consumer SIMs.
SenseProM Platform
The SenseProM platform allows users to manage eSIM profiles without the need for physical SIM card changes. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), officially launched the platform at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024.
VoyX, a global travel eSIM solution provider, is the first to adopt SenseProM. VoyX offers connectivity in over 140 countries, catering to frequent travellers, students, and professionals, providing flexible data packs without the need for physical SIM cards.
eSIM Integration in India
The platform is built on the GSMA consumer architecture SGP.22, ensuring secure and seamless downloading, activation, and switching between telecom operators. According to Karn Nagpal, President of Rosmerta Technologies, Sensorise aims to collaborate with Indian handset manufacturers to integrate eSIM features and expand its offerings to the consumer market, mirroring its success in the M2M space.
Sensorise’s CEO, Vijaya Vivek Kamath, added that the SenseProM platform will enhance flexibility and user control, addressing both domestic and global needs, with plans to follow the consumer launch with an M2M RSP rollout.
