Now Report Spam Calls on Sanchar Saathi Mobile App Launched by DoT

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched the Sanchar Saathi mobile app, aimed at simplifying the reporting of suspected fraudulent communications. The app enables users to flag such incidents directly from their call logs, enhancing the fight against telecom-related fraud.

Announcing the app, Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also unveiled two other key initiatives:

  1. Vision for National Broadband Mission 2.0
  1. Intra-Circle Roaming at Digital Bharat Nidhi-funded 4G Mobile Sites

The Sanchar Saathi portal, initially introduced in 2023, has already proven effective in combating fraud calls. The new app builds on this foundation, offering users an added layer of protection and convenience.

During the launch, Minister Scindia emphasized that the Sanchar Saathi initiative ensures a “safe and secure environment where the privacy and security of every customer are safeguarded.” This marks another step forward in strengthening India’s digital ecosystem.
