Reliance Jio New 999 Plan Details Here

Reliance Jio New 999 Plan Details Here

Reliance Jio has quietly introduced a new Rs 999 prepaid plan for its customers. Previously, Jio offered a Rs 999 plan before tariff hikes raised the price to Rs 1199. Now, the Rs 999 plan is back and labeled as ‘Hero 5G’ on Jio’s website. This plan is available for all Jio prepaid customers in India. While the older Rs 999 plan provided 3GB of daily data, the new plan offers 2GB of daily data, indicating a subtle price increase. Let’s explore the benefits of the new Rs 999 plan from Jio.

Reliance Jio’s New Rs 999 Plan Benefits

The Rs 999 plan from Jio includes 98 days of service validity, an unconventional duration. This plan features unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS/day, and 2GB of daily data. Since it offers 2GB of daily data, it also includes unlimited 5G data.

The daily cost of the Rs 999 plan is Rs 10.19, which is relatively high compared to typical Indian prepaid plans. However, when considering the daily cost alone, it is less expensive than previous plans.

Before the tariff hike, the Rs 999 plan provided 84 days of validity and 3GB of daily data, costing Rs 11.89 per day. The average data cost at that time was Rs 3.96 per GB.

With the extended 98-day validity, the average daily cost has decreased, but the average cost per GB of data has increased. The new Rs 999 plan now costs Rs 10.40 per GB, approximately 160% more expensive than the previous rate of Rs 3.96 per GB.
