Reliance Jio AirFiber Quarterly Plans, Installation Price Decreased

Reliance Jio AirFiber Quarterly Plans, Installation Price Decreased

Reliance Jio has introduced new quarterly AirFiber plans and reduced the installation cost for its six-month plan from Rs 1,000 to Rs 500, offering more flexibility and value to its customers. The new quarterly plans are priced at Rs 599, Rs 899, and Rs 1,199, and these options have been updated on Jio’s official website

The Rs 599 plan, the most basic option, costs Rs 2,121 for a three-month subscription (including 18% GST). It provides 1,000 GB of data at 30 Mbps speed and includes access to OTT content from 13 popular apps such as Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, JioCinema, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Discovery+, Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, Shemaroo, DocuBay, EpicOn, and ETV Win. The Rs 888 plan, which includes additional subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon Prime Lite, is restricted to annual and semi-annual periods only.

The Rs 899 plan, costing Rs 3,183 for three months (including 18% GST), and the Rs 1,199 plan, priced at Rs 4,244 for three months (including 18% GST), both offer higher speeds of 100 Mbps up to 1,000 GB of data. While the Rs 899 plan includes the same OTT apps as the Rs 599 plan, the Rs 1,199 plan justifies its higher price by providing additional subscriptions to FanCode (via JioTV+), Netflix Basic plan, and Amazon Prime Lite membership.

Jio Airfiber Installation Charges

In addition to these new quarterly plans, Reliance Jio has revised its installation pricing structure. New customers opting for the quarterly AirFiber plans will incur an installation fee of Rs 1,000. However, this fee is reduced to Rs 500 for those choosing the semi-annual plan and completely waived for customers selecting the annual plan.

However, a significant downside remains the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 1,000 GB. For users streaming content, this limit is likely to be insufficient, leading them to reach the cap quickly each month. Once the limit is exceeded, users must purchase additional data add-ons to maintain high-speed internet, which could deter potential customers from choosing Jio AirFiber.
