RailTel wins contracts totaling Rs 2.17 billion

These include a Rs 483.8 million project to establish a cyber security operations centre and maintain IT and operational systems for power distribution companies over five years, and a larger Rs 1.68 billion assignment to support education quality improvement in selected government schools under the PM SHRI scheme, with completion timelines extending to 2027 and 2026 respectively. 

RailTel Corporation of India has obtained two domestic contracts worth a combined Rs 2.17 billion from government bodies in Bihar. The first contract, awarded by the North Bihar Power Distribution Company (NBPDCL), involves setting up a Cyber Security Operations Centre for both NBPDCL and the South Bihar Power Distribution Company, along with providing maintenance for information technology and operational technology systems over a five-year period. This project is expected to be completed by January 17, 2027, and carries an estimated value of Rs 483.8 million.

The second contract has been awarded by the state project director of the Bihar Education Project Council, appointing RailTel as an implementation partner to enhance the quality of education in selected government schools across Bihar under the PM SHRI scheme. This project is scheduled for completion by September 30, 2026, with a total value of Rs 1.68 billion.
