JioGlass is set to hit the market by year-end, but early impressions might not be too exciting. From my initial experience at IMC 2023, it appears to be a decently designed product but lacks a compelling use case for consumers. The demonstration I saw involved watching YouTube, which wasn’t particularly impressive. While some might find the idea of experiencing YouTube content through these AR glasses interesting, it doesn’t create a strong need for the product. Keep in mind that my views are based on a limited demo, and the potential uses may expand in the future.

Jio envisions customers using the JioGlass as an immersive personal theater, with a smartphone serving as the controller. It can also virtually extend your computer display and be used for gaming and learning. The product is lightweight, weighing only 69 grams, and includes a cable for connecting to other devices.
However, the most promising aspect of JioGlass seems to be in the enterprise sector. It could be a valuable tool for training candidates, students, or employees. The JioGlass Enterprise Early Access Program is already underway, offering an Enterprise Edition with the Tesseract Enterprise XR App Suite. This version could aid enterprises in live training, design collaboration, and more effective sales presentations. The real potential of the product will become clearer once it’s commercially available later this year.
