E& UAE and Ericsson Partner to Explore 6G Technology and Future Networks

E& UAE has partnered with Ericsson through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the possibilities of 6G technology, including potential use cases and future network advancements. The MoU initiates an early phase of collaboration, focusing on defining the next generation of mobile network evolution through a series of technical discussions and engagements. 

Khalid Murshed, Chief Technology and Information Officer at E& UAE, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing the digital future. We are excited to partner with Ericsson in exploring 6G and its evolution in network technology.” 

Ekow Nelson, Vice President and Head of Global Customer Unit for E& at Ericsson Middle East and Africa, added, “While 5G is set to become the dominant mobile technology after 2027, we are proactively working with partners to lay the groundwork for 6G, shaping the future of connectivity for the UAE and the region.” 

In a joint statement, Ericsson described 6G’s potential to transform communication by integrating the digital and physical worlds, creating seamless, cognitive networks enabled by advanced, trustworthy systems and a pervasive network compute fabric.
