DoT to Host Hackathon on 5G and 6G Technologies

The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) is set to host the “5G/6G and Emerging Technologies Hackathon” this September. This initiative seeks to unite innovators, industry leaders, and academics to explore the cutting-edge of next-generation telecom technologies, according to a department statement. 

The World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly (WTSA2024) will take place in New Delhi from October 15 to 24, 2024, representing a significant milestone in the advancement of 5G and 6G networks. The hackathon, preceding this major event, will offer developers a platform to showcase a variety of solutions. 

Additionally, the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC 2024) will be hosted at the same venue from October 15 to 19, 2024. Over the course of a 30-hour event, participants will collaborate in dedicated 5G labs located in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, fostering a dynamic environment for idea development.
