Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-owned telecom operator, has awarded a ₹94.35 crore project to Lineage Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, to enhance its power and energy storage infrastructure across India. Under this project, Lineage Power will supply 25,000 lithium-ion battery modules rated at 100 AH/48V, along with 2,500 IP55-rated equipment racks suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
The company will configure these systems into battery banks with capacities ranging from 300 AH to 1,200 AH to meet the operational needs of telecom sites under varying conditions. The order includes a five-year comprehensive warranty, followed by a five-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), ensuring uninterrupted operation and the reliable functioning of BSNL’s critical power infrastructure over a 10-year period.
In compliance with government regulations, all Battery Management Systems provided under this contract will be registered on the Trusted Telecom Portal. This initiative is part of India’s effort to secure critical telecom infrastructure, safeguarding the nation’s communication networks and power grids against potential cyber threats. As part of this policy, the government has removed all Chinese vendors from the network.
The project will be executed by Lineage Power in a phased manner over the next five months, ensuring a structured and efficient rollout of the upgraded power systems.
