BSNL and ACES India Enable Uninterrupted Mobile Connectivity in Kanpur Metro’s Underground Corridors

In a major advancement for digital infrastructure in urban mobility, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and ACES India have partnered to deliver uninterrupted voice and data services across Kanpur Metro’s underground stations and tunnels. This collaboration ensures continuous mobile network coverage for passengers throughout the metro’s subterranean sections.

As part of the initiative, ACES India has designed and deployed a comprehensive In-Building Solution (IBS) system to enhance BSNL’s network reach. This marks a technological milestone for Uttar Pradesh, making Kanpur Metro the state’s first to offer end-to-end underground mobile connectivity.

A recent live demonstration showcased full mobile signal strength and high-speed data services throughout the underground network—highlighting the partnership’s success in creating world-class commuter connectivity.

Speaking at a press event, Prabhansh Yadav, General Manager, BSNL, stated “It is a proud moment for BSNL to deliver robust and seamless connectivity in the Kanpur Metro’s underground sections. This achievement, in collaboration with ACES India, reflects our commitment to supporting India’s smart infrastructure vision. BSNL users can now enjoy reliable voice and data services while on the move.”

Mohammed N. Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India, added “Our partnership with BSNL underscores ACES India’s dedication to building resilient telecom infrastructure for smart, connected mobility. We are proud to help shape India’s modern transport systems by ensuring passengers remain connected, even deep underground.”

This milestone not only enhances the commuter experience but also reinforces BSNL’s role as a key enabler of India’s smart infrastructure initiatives and ACES India’s leadership in next-gen connectivity solutions.
