BSNL 4G Sim Upgradation: BSNL Offers Free Data to Encourage SIM Upgrade

As part of its efforts to promote the adoption of the latest technology, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering additional data benefits to users who upgrade their old BSNL 2G/3G SIMs to a BSNL 4G SIM. BSNL’s Andhra Pradesh division has announced that users who switch to a 4G SIM will receive 4GB of complimentary data, which is valid for three months. To take advantage of this offer, customers can visit their nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre, Franchisee, Retailer, or DSA to upgrade to a 4G SIM. Users in Andhra Pradesh can also check their SIM card type by sending an SMS with the message ‘SIM’ to 54040 and then proceed with the free upgrade process.

BSNL Diwali Offers

In addition to the 4G SIM upgrade incentive, BSNL has introduced two festive season offers for customers who recharge via the ‘BSNL Selfcare app.’ These offers include a 2 percent discount on recharges exceeding Rs 249 and an additional 3GB of data starting from October 21 when recharging with specific denominations, including STV 251, 299, 398, 499, 599, and PV 666.

BSNL’s 4G Launch Plans

According to IT and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, BSNL will initiate the deployment of extensive 4G infrastructure in India during the Diwali season. This endeavor aligns with BSNL’s goal to offer 4G services across the country by June 2024, after which the focus will shift to 5G rollout. The company’s aim is to provide enhanced connectivity and embrace the latest technologies, marking 23 years of serving India’s telecommunications needs.
