Airtel Xstream AirFiber Devices Launched in Delhi, Mumbai

Airtel Unveils Airtel Xstream AirFiber, a 5G Plus-Powered Fixed Wireless Access Solution, initially serving customers in Delhi and Mumbai. This offering resembles Jio AirFiber, announced in 2022, which is yet to be released for sale in India.

1. Airtel notes the exponential growth of home Wi-Fi usage in recent years, boasting 34 million fiber connections across India. Yet, many still lack access to fiber services. 

2. Airtel Xstream AirFiber emerges as India’s pioneer 5G wireless Wi-Fi solution, aimed at providing internet access to areas devoid of fiber infrastructure.  

3. This initiative aims to bridge the last-mile connectivity gap, catering to both rural and urban regions where infrastructure accessibility remains a challenge. 

4. Xstream AirFiber introduces a plug-and-play home internet device featuring built-in Wi-Fi 6 technology, promising broader indoor coverage and simultaneous connectivity for up to 64 devices. 

5. Airtel AirFiber pledges enhanced speed, coverage, device security, and other benefits to users. 

6. The service offers convenient self-installation facilitated by the Xstream AirFiber app, enabling users to manage their connections seamlessly through the same platform. 

Airtel Xstream AirFiber Price In India 

The Airtel Xstream AirFiber service is priced at Rs 799 per month (excluding 18 percent GST), providing internet speeds of up to 100Mbps along with unlimited data. Customers can opt for this plan for a six-month duration, requiring a one-time refundable security deposit of Rs 2,500. 

To subscribe to the service, residents of Delhi and Mumbai can visit any Airtel store and choose the Xstream AirFiber option. Airtel plans to expand the availability of AirFiber to multiple cities and gradually introduce it nationwide. The company emphasizes that all Xstream AirFiber devices will be manufactured in India as part of the “Make in India” initiative.

1. To set up your Xstream AirFiber, get the AirFiber device from the nearest Airtel Store. 

2. Then, find the perfect spot to place the Xstream AirFiber device through the app and set it up. 

3. Connect your device by scanning the QR code / selecting the Wi-Fi name on your device.
