Bharti Airtel has upgraded its network infrastructure at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium to ensure seamless connectivity for nearly 100,000 cricket fans as the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off on March 22.
Enhanced Connectivity at Wankhede Stadium
Airtel has strengthened seven existing cell sites around the stadium, significantly improving voice and data connectivity. These upgrades are designed to handle the surge in mobile traffic during the high-energy matches.
“With the upcoming IPL tournament drawing massive crowds, we have proactively enhanced our mobile network at Wankhede Stadium. This will ensure our customers stay seamlessly connected, capturing and sharing the electrifying atmosphere in real time,” said Bharti Airtel’s Mumbai Circle CEO.
