Airtel IPTV Launched in India with Black Plans

Bharti Airtel has introduced—though perhaps in a soft-launch phase—its IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services bundled with Airtel Black plans in select regions. Airtel Black is the company’s premium postpaid offering, allowing customers to combine Mobile, Digital TV, and Fiber services into a single plan for added convenience.

Airtel IPTV Launch and Features

With Airtel’s IPTV service integrated into Airtel Black Plans, customers can enjoy high-quality digital content over the internet instead of traditional cable or satellite connections. IPTV technology delivers live TV channels, on-demand videos, and other multimedia content via a dedicated internet-based network, ensuring seamless streaming with minimal buffering.

Airtel’s Statement on IPTV Rollout

“We have also commenced the testing of IPTV. We believe that when this is launched, it will dramatically improve the ease of onboarding for our customers,” said Gopal Vittal, Bharti Airtel’s Vice Chairman and MD, during the company’s Q3FY25 earnings call.

Airtel Black IPTV Availability

Based on Vittal’s statement, it appears that Airtel has started testing or soft-launched its IPTV services in select markets. As of now, Airtel Black IPTV Entertainment Plans are available in regions such as Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and other select areas.

Airtel Black IPTV Entertainment Plans

Airtel’s IPTV Entertainment Plans start at Rs 699, offering up to 40 Mbps of unlimited internet. Other plans include:

  • Rs 899 Plan – Up to 100 Mbps internet
  • Rs 1099 Plan – Up to 200 Mbps internet
  • Rs 1599 Plan – Up to 300 Mbps internet
  • Rs 3999 Plan – Up to 1024 Mbps (1 Gbps) internet

All these plans come bundled with IPTV service, along with Fiber, Landline, and OTT app benefits as per the selected plan.

With this move, Airtel is set to expand its digital ecosystem, offering a seamless TV and internet experience for its premium postpaid users.
