Airtel Introduces Unlimited Data Across All Postpaid Plans

Summary:
Bharti Airtel has introduced unlimited data across all its postpaid plans, with customers in the Kolkata circle receiving unlimited 4G and 5G data, capped at 300GB per month under fair usage terms. The entry-level plan starts at Rs 449, and select prepaid plans also now include unlimited data benefits. While it is unclear if the rollout covers all circles, Airtel continues expanding its 4G and 5G network nationwide. Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea has also upgraded its postpaid portfolio, with plans like the Rs 551 option offering unlimited data benefits.

Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom provider, has recently enabled unlimited data across all its mobile postpaid plans. The benefit has now been rolled out to every postpaid offering. In the Kolkata circle, for instance, all Airtel postpaid plans display unlimited 4G and 5G data access. From the entry-level option to the highest-priced plan, each includes unlimited data. For those unaware, Airtel’s base postpaid plan is priced at Rs 449.

According to the company’s terms and conditions, subscribers will receive 300GB of data per month (30 days). Airtel has also recently introduced unlimited data benefits on select prepaid plans, though only certain prepaid options currently include this feature.

As far as postpaid mobile plans are concerned, unlimited data is available across the board—at least in the Kolkata circle. It remains unclear whether the same benefit has been implemented in other circles. Airtel’s 5G network now has extensive coverage across India, and the operator continues to expand both its 5G and 4G footprint.

With the second-largest mobile subscriber base in the country, such updates are typically well received by customers. Unlimited data at no additional cost is an attractive proposition for users. Airtel is not alone in revising its postpaid portfolio. Vodafone Idea has also enhanced its postpaid offerings, introducing more affordable plans that include unlimited data. For example, Vodafone Idea’s Rs 551 plan is currently showing unlimited data benefits for customers. Further details about that offer will be shared soon.
