Airtel International Roaming Packs Revamped for Prepaid and Postpaid Users

Bharti Airtel has completely overhauled its international roaming (IR) portfolio for both prepaid and postpaid customers, introducing a range of new plans that offer enhanced data, voice, and SMS benefits. Among the highlights is a first-of-its-kind prepaid plan that provides seamless connectivity both in India and abroad, marking a major shift in Airtel’s global mobility offerings. 

These revamped packs, effective as of June 2025, now ensure uninterrupted service across 189 countries, making international travel more convenient than ever for Airtel users. 

International Roaming Plans for Prepaid Users 

  • 1-Day IR Pack – ₹648 Includes 1GB of data, along with voice and SMS benefits. 
  • 5-Day IR Pack – ₹798 (New) Offers 2GB of data with voice and SMS included. 
  • 10-Day IR Pack – ₹1,098 Comes with 3GB of data, voice, and SMS services. 
  • 30-Day IR Pack – ₹2,998 Provides 10GB of data, voice/SMS benefits, plus in-flight connectivity. 
  • 365-Day Combo Pack – ₹4,000 Bundles 5GB IR data, 1.5GB/day of data in India, and voice/SMS benefits usable both domestically and internationally. 
  • 28-Day IR Service Pack – ₹98 Enables IR services with free incoming SMS. Outgoing calls, SMS, and data are charged at standard international rates. 

International Roaming Plans for Postpaid Users 

Airtel’s postpaid IR packs come with unlimited data (subject to a Fair Usage Policy), where data speed is reduced to 80 Kbps once the high-speed limit is reached. 

  • 1-Day IR Pack – ₹648 Includes 1GB high-speed data, voice, and SMS benefits. 
  • 10-Day IR Pack – ₹2,999 Provides 10GB of high-speed data, along with voice and SMS. 
  • 30-Day IR Pack – ₹3,999 Comes with 30GB high-speed data, voice, SMS, and in-flight connectivity. 
  • 90-Day IR Pack – ₹5,999 Offers 40GB high-speed data, with voice, SMS, and in-flight benefits. 
  • 365-Day IR Pack – ₹14,999 Includes 40GB high-speed data, full voice/SMS benefits, and in-flight services. 

Data Top-Up Option 

  • ₹699 Data Top-Up Provides 2GB of high-speed data and remains valid for the duration of the active IR plan.

Currently, Airtel offers five IR plans and three in-flight packs for postpaid users, and six IR plans and three in-flight packs for prepaid users. In addition, an exclusive IR pack with added benefits is available through MakeMyTrip for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
