Adani Enterprises, Jabil Explore Partnership to Develop AI Data Centre Manufacturing Ecosystem in India

Summary:
Adani Group and Jabil Inc. plan to establish a strategic partnership to build a vertically integrated AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. The collaboration will combine Jabil’s advanced engineering and manufacturing expertise with Adani’s infrastructure, renewable energy, logistics, and data centre capabilities to address growing global demand for AI-ready infrastructure. The initiative will focus on large-scale production of AI racks, servers, networking equipment, and supporting power and cooling systems, creating a comprehensive end-to-end hardware ecosystem. With the global AI infrastructure market expected to exceed $3 trillion over the next seven years, both companies see the partnership as a significant opportunity to strengthen India’s position as a major hub for AI technology manufacturing and exports.

Adani Group and Jabil Inc. have revealed plans to pursue a strategic partnership aimed at creating a globally competitive, vertically integrated manufacturing platform for artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre infrastructure in India.

The proposed collaboration will combine Jabil’s more than 60 years of expertise in advanced engineering, large-scale manufacturing, and hyperscale data centre solutions with Adani Group’s extensive infrastructure network, renewable energy capabilities, logistics strengths, and growing data centre business. Together, the companies aim to address the rapidly increasing demand for AI-enabled data centre infrastructure in both domestic and international markets.

A key focus of the initiative will be the development of large-scale AI rack manufacturing capacity in India, potentially spanning multiple gigawatts. The platform is expected to support hyperscalers, co-location providers, and enterprise data centres by producing and integrating advanced liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage systems, and networking equipment using sophisticated surface-mount and box-build manufacturing technologies.

In addition to computing hardware, the alliance intends to establish a comprehensive AI infrastructure ecosystem covering both white-space and grey-space components. Planned manufacturing activities include power distribution units, coolant distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, busbars, and advanced cooling technologies. The objective is to provide customers with a complete end-to-end hardware solution, from design and production through deployment.

The companies believe the opportunity is significant, with global investments in AI computing infrastructure projected to create a market exceeding $3 trillion over the next seven years. Both organisations are currently working on finalising operational structures and formal agreements to advance the initiative.

Commenting on the development, the chairman of Adani Group said the world is entering a transformative era driven by intelligence and computing, and that countries capable of integrating energy and digital infrastructure will define the future. He noted that the collaboration with Jabil is an important step toward building a full AI infrastructure ecosystem in India, ranging from renewable energy generation to advanced hardware production, while positioning the country as a creator and exporter of AI-driven technologies.

Jabil’s chief executive officer stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s goal of delivering long-term value across the AI ecosystem through scalable lifecycle solutions. He added that combining Jabil’s engineering and manufacturing strengths with Adani’s infrastructure and energy capabilities would enable the companies to serve hyperscale and enterprise customers in India and worldwide. He also highlighted India’s skilled workforce and favourable business environment as important factors supporting the collaboration.
