Indus Towers Deploys 180 Towers in Prayagraj for Mahakumbh Mela 2025 Connectivity

Indian telecom infrastructure provider Indus Towers has installed 180 towers in Prayagraj to ensure seamless connectivity during the Mahakumbh Mela 2025. Collaborating with the Uttar Pradesh State Government and the District Administration, Indus Towers aims to provide uninterrupted connectivity for millions of pilgrims and residents, the company announced in a statement. 

Permanent Towers and Mobile Solutions 

The deployment includes 110 permanent towers designed to enhance Prayagraj’s long-term connectivity and 70 Cell on Wheels (CoW) towers strategically placed in key areas of the Mahakumbh Mela grounds. The project was completed by December 2024, ensuring reliable network coverage ahead of the event. 

Tejinder Kalra, Chief Operating Officer of Indus Towers, highlighted the importance of the initiative “As we prepare for the Mahakumbh Mela, we recognize the importance of uninterrupted connectivity for millions of devotees. Our partnership with the Mela Administration and Prayagraj District Administration enables us to enhance the city’s telecom infrastructure and provide a seamless digital experience for all.” 

Strengthening Long-Term Network Infrastructure 

Indus Towers emphasized that the newly deployed infrastructure will not only support communication during the Mela but also bolster Prayagraj’s telecom network for future needs. 

The Mahakumbh Mela, the world’s largest gathering of devotees, will take place in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025.
