Mumbai Metro 3 Gets Vodafone Idea Connectivity

Vodafone Idea has successfully deployed its 4G network along the entire Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3, a key infrastructure project inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. “As Mumbai prepares to commute on this new metro route, Vi is pleased to announce the completion of its network deployment across the entire underground section,” the telecom company stated. 

Vi customers traveling the 12.44-kilometer underground stretch will enjoy uninterrupted connectivity, with the network set up at all 10 stations along the route: Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Vidya Nagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ, and Aarey Colony. To ensure seamless coverage, Vi has installed in-building solutions (IBS) inside the underground metro tunnel.  

“The inauguration of the Aarey to BKC underground Metro corridor has been a long-awaited dream for the people of Mumbai. As a leading telecom operator in the city, we are thrilled to provide uninterrupted, seamless network connectivity to our customers along this route,” said Shailendra Singh, Operations Director, Vodafone Idea.
