Vodafone Idea Rs 666 & 479 Recharge Validity Reduced

Vodafone Idea Rs 666 & 479 Recharge Validity Reduced

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has reduced the validity of its Rs 666 and Rs 479 prepaid plans, effectively raising the cost for users, even though the price remains unchanged. This change comes after the July 2024 tariff hikes. Both plans offer limited daily data, but the Rs 666 plan includes Hero Unlimited benefits. Let’s break down the adjustments:

Vodafone Idea Rs 479 and Rs 666 Plans: Old vs. New Benefits

Rs 479 Plan: Previously offering 56 days of service, the plan now provides just 48 days. The other benefits remain unchanged, with 1GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS/day. After the data limit is reached, speeds drop to 64 Kbps.

Rs 666 Plan: This plan now offers 64 days of service, down from 77 days. It includes 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS/day. Additional Hero Unlimited benefits include Weekend Data Rollover, Data Delights, and Binge All Night, enhancing the user experience.

These changes are aimed at boosting Vodafone Idea’s average revenue per user (ARPU), but they could also negatively impact its customer base, which has already been shrinking as users migrate to competitors due to rising prices.
