TRAI Free 3 Months Recharge Message is Fake

A message claiming that the government is offering three months of free mobile recharge, be warned—this is a scam. The message is circulating online to deceive innocent citizens. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), PIB Fact Check clarified that the message, allegedly from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), is false.

It claims to provide free mobile recharge due to recent price hikes, with an urgency suggesting the offer is valid only until July 31. PIB Fact Check emphasized that TRAI is not offering any free mobile recharge.

What Should Users Do If They Receive This Message?

To stay safe and avoid falling victim to such scams, do not trust messages you receive on WhatsApp, SMS, or any other platform promising free mobile recharge. Always verify offers by visiting the official website and only recharge mobile numbers through authentic websites.
