Reliance Jio Set to Begin IPO Promotion Campaign Next Week

Reliance Jio Set to Begin IPO Promotion Campaign Next Week

Summary:
Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) is preparing to begin investor meetings next week ahead of its proposed IPO, reportedly targeted for November 2026, which could become the largest IPO in Indian stock-market history. The company is expected to raise up to Rs 37,700 crore ($3.8-$4 billion) through a fresh issue of 27 crore shares, with no OFS component. The proceeds are expected to reduce high-interest and spectrum debt while supporting investments in AI, 5G and cloud data centres, although the IPO price band is yet to be finalised.

Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), the digital services arm of Reliance Industries, is preparing to begin engaging with investors ahead of its proposed record-setting Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the coming months. JPL is the parent company of Reliance Jio Infocomm, India’s leading telecom operator. According to an online report, the company is expected to begin investor meetings next week.

As reported by Bloomberg, Jio Platforms is expected to hold meetings with investors across several international markets, including the United States (US), Hong Kong, London and the Middle East.

Jio Platforms is reportedly aiming for a public listing in November 2026. Although the company has not officially confirmed the proposed timeline, an official familiar with the matter was cited as confirming the development. The telecom company is also in discussions with banks regarding the IPO. If completed as reported, the issue would become the largest IPO in the history of Indian stock exchanges.

Jio IPO Could Raise Up to $4 Billion USD

Reports suggest that Jio could raise as much as Rs 37,700 crore through the proposed IPO, equivalent to approximately $3.8 billion to $4 billion. The issue is expected to comprise a fresh issuance of 27 crore equity shares, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component. The absence of an OFS is primarily attributed to Mukesh Ambani’s intention to safeguard the interests of retail investors.

The funds raised are expected to be used to lower the company’s high-interest debt, including its spectrum-related obligations. In addition, Jio plans to direct capital towards growth opportunities such as artificial intelligence (AI), 5G and the expansion of cloud data centres.

Jio IPO Price Band

Jio Platforms Limited has not yet finalised the price band for the fresh equity issue. However, based on Reliance Industries’ previous approach, the company is not expected to set an excessively high price band. Reliance has traditionally encouraged greater participation from retail investors by keeping issue prices relatively accessible. A similar approach was followed during the listing of Jio Financial Services Limited (JFSL).
