Key Highlights – Vodafone Idea Q2 FY26 Results
- Subscriber Metrics: Vi’s total subscriber base fell slightly to 196.7 million from 197.7 million in the previous quarter. However, postpaid users rose to 27.9 million, and 4G/5G users increased to 127.8 million, indicating strong retention in premium segments.
- ARPU and Churn: The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) improved to ₹180 from ₹177 QoQ. Meanwhile, the churn rate increased marginally from 4.1% to 4.3%, suggesting some competitive pressure.
- Network Expansion: Vi expanded its 4G population coverage to 84.4%, up from 78.8%. The telco added 1,500 new 4G towers, with total broadband sites reaching 527,000. It also deployed 13,000+ massive MIMO sites and 12,400+ small cells to enhance capacity and speed.
- Financial Position: The capex stood at ₹17.5 billion for the quarter, with bank debt reduced to ₹15.3 billion and cash reserves at ₹30.8 billion, indicating tighter fiscal control.
