Vodafone Idea Rs 340 Prepaid Plan Launched

Vodafone Idea Rs 340 Prepaid Plan Launched

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), India’s third-largest telecom operator, has introduced a new prepaid plan priced at ₹340. While the cost may initially seem reasonable, a closer look at the benefits and validity reveals that it’s not exactly a budget-friendly option. The ₹340 plan offers unlimited voice calling, 2GB of daily data, and 100 SMS per day, with a validity of 28 days. Additionally, it includes 1GB of extra data, unlimited data usage between 12 AM and 6 AM, and the Weekend Data Rollover feature. Subscribers also benefit from Vi’s ‘Data Delights’ offer, which provides 2GB of emergency data per month.

Although not positioned as an affordable plan, it could appeal to users seeking a short-term, data-heavy option. Importantly, this plan is also eligible for Vi’s 5G services, which are currently available to customers in Mumbai who recharge with plans priced above ₹299. However, the bundled 5G data is capped at 300GB per 28-day cycle and is compatible only with smartphones that support the 5G NSA (non-standalone) architecture.
