Know About the Recharge to Keep SIM Active | Jio, Vi, AIrtel and BSNL Minimum Recharge to Keep SIM Active

Know About the Recharge to Keep SIM Active

India’s four major telecom operators—Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL—have made several changes to their tariff structures over the past seven to eight months. One key area of change is the minimum recharge plans required to keep SIM cards active. While Reliance Jio claims to be the most affordable private telecom operator in India, this claim does not necessarily hold when it comes to maintaining SIM card validity. Below, we take a look at the cheapest recharge plans offered by Jio, Airtel, Vi, and BSNL in 2025

Reliance Jio Minimum Validity Recharge Plan 2025

Reliance Jio’s minimum validity recharge plan for 2025 is priced at ₹189. It comes with a 28-day service validity, offering unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS, and 2GB of data. Additionally, users get access to JioTV, JioCinema (excluding the premium subscription), and JioCloud.

Bharti Airtel Minimum Validity Recharge Plan 2025

Bharti Airtel’s minimum validity recharge plan is slightly more expensive at ₹199—just ₹10 more than Jio. This plan also provides 28 days of service validity, bundling unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of data.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) Minimum Validity Recharge Plan 2025

Vodafone Idea’s minimum validity recharge plan varies based on the user’s telecom circle. The cheapest options are the ₹99 and ₹155 plans, though availability depends on the region. The ₹99 plan includes 15 days of service validity, 200MB of data, and ₹99 limited talk time but does not offer SMS benefits, except for port-out messages to 1900 at standard SMS rates. The ₹155 plan may be an alternative in certain regions.

BSNL Minimum Validity Recharge Plan 2025

BSNL offers the most affordable minimum validity recharge plan, starting at ₹59. This plan provides seven days of service validity with unlimited calling and 1GB of daily data. Alternatively, BSNL’s ₹99 plan extends service validity to 17 days with unlimited calling but does not include any data benefits.

These plans highlight the varying approaches taken by telecom operators to balance affordability and benefits while ensuring customers can keep their SIMs active.
