D-Link Unveils Advanced 5G LTE Outdoor CPE for Fixed Wireless Access

D-Link has introduced its latest 5G/LTE Outdoor Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), designed to facilitate high-speed 5G internet access with multi-gigabit speeds. The DWP-1010, a robust outdoor unit, aims to offer fixed wireless access (FWA) for homes, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and enterprises in suburban and rural areas. This device, equipped with six internal 5G/LTE antennas, eliminates the need for costly fiber or wiring deployment, enabling service providers to deliver multi-gigabit internet to multiple customers in rural regions.

With 5G and LTE dual-mode support, the outdoor CPE boasts downlink speeds of up to 4 Gbps and uplink speeds of up to 620 Mbps in 5G mode, as well as downlink speeds of up to 2 Gbps and uplink speeds of up to 150 Mbps in LTE mode. It offers fallback support from 5G to LTE, providing a fail-safe, always-on connection. Additionally, the device includes a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet LAN port with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, allowing power and connectivity through a single Ethernet cable, streamlining installation.

Engineered for outdoor use, the CPE features a rugged IP67 weather-resistant housing to withstand extreme weather conditions. It can be conveniently pole or wall-mounted on rooftops, balconies, or outdoor walls, enhancing reception. Users can optimize the CPE’s position to receive the best 5G signal using the provided mobile app.
