Data Rollover in Airtel Prepaid Plan- Rs 59 Recharge

Data Rollover in Airtel Prepaid Plan- Rs 59 Recharge

Bharti Airtel has introduced a weekend data rollover benefit for prepaid subscribers who recharge with the Weekend Data Rollover Pack. Currently, the Rs 59 Weekend Data Rollover Pack is available for users in Haryana and the North East. With this move, Airtel joins other telecom operators offering similar benefits to prepaid customers.

The weekend data rollover feature allows Airtel subscribers on an unlimited voice plan with daily data benefits to accumulate unused data from Monday to Friday and use it on the following Saturday and Sunday. However, any remaining accumulated data will expire at midnight between Sunday and Monday, with a new accumulation cycle starting the next week.

The Rs 59 Weekend Data Rollover Pack is valid for 28 days, ensuring that users can roll over their unused data on weekends throughout this period. However, to avail of the benefit, customers must be active on a base plan that includes unlimited voice and daily data benefits. Currently, the pack is only available in select circles, and Airtel has not yet confirmed whether it will expand the offer nationwide.

Unlike bundling the weekend rollover feature with its unlimited plans, Airtel has opted to introduce it as an add-on pack, allowing only those who purchase it to enable the benefit. This move is expected to help the company increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) while giving its customers a competitive advantage. Given Airtel’s strong presence in the North East circle, this new pack is likely to intensify competition among telecom operators.

In addition to the weekend data pack, Airtel has also launched a Rs 160 Cricket Data Pack, which offers 5GB of data with a 7-day validity along with a three-month Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription. Once the data quota is exhausted, users will be charged 50 paise per MB for additional usage. Timed with the ongoing cricket season, this pack is aimed at users looking to stream live matches via Disney+ Hotstar.
