BSNL1799 Plan Details- International Roaming Pack

BSNL1799 Plan Details- International Roaming Pack

BSNL has launched a new ₹1799 International Roaming Pack, offering 1GB of data, 10 minutes of talktime, and 5 SMS, valid for 7 days across 18 countries. This pack is part of BSNL’s strategy to enhance its international roaming services, which are now available in 476 networks across 195 countries, as per recent updates from BSNL.

The introduction of this pack comes at a time when international travel is on the rise, with a reported 14.6 million Indians traveling abroad in 2024, highlighting the growing demand for reliable roaming services. BSNL’s move is significant as it aims to compete with private telecom giants like Airtel and Jio, who have also been expanding their international roaming offerings.

The pack’s affordability and coverage are particularly relevant given the recent economic challenges faced by BSNL, including a reported loss of ₹6,797 crore in the fiscal year 2023-2024, pushing the company to innovate and capture market share. This development is part of broader efforts by BSNL to revitalize its services, supported by government initiatives to strengthen public sector enterprises in the telecom sector.
