BSNL Freedom Plan- Rs 1 Plan

State-controlled BSNL on Friday launched a limited “Freedom Plan”, priced at ₹ 1 to enable its users to use 4G services for a month. The launch of the plan comes about two weeks ahead of Independence Day. BSNL said in a statement, “This initiative marks India’s Independence Day BSNL celebration and gives citizens a chance to experience India’s indigenously developed 4G technology without any cost.” 

BSNL said in a statement. The limited period offer is valid from August 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025. The plan provides unlimited voice calls, 2GB high-speed data per day, 100 SMS per day, and a BSNL SIM for free.  

A TCS-led consortium including homegrown gear maker Tejas Network and C -DOT is currently deploying 1 lakh sites for BSNL’s commercial 4G foray. Robert J Ravi, CMD of BSNL said, “BSNL’s 4G-designed, developed, and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” has been deployed under the mission-we are proud to put India among a selected groups in India who have piled up their own telecommunications.” Ravi said that the freedom plan gives Indians an opportunity to test and experience its indigenous network for 30 days, free from cost, saying that “we believe they will see BSNL difference”.
