2025 Resolution of BSNL- To Expand 4G Rollout

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is rapidly expanding its 4G network, with approximately 12,000 new towers being installed nationwide. By December 2024, BSNL had rolled out 4G services in all four metro cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai—and most state capitals. The company aims to extend 4G coverage across all circles by June 2025.

In parallel with its 4G expansion, BSNL is gearing up to launch 5G services in early 2025, advancing its network capabilities to provide high-speed internet and improved connectivity nationwide. This initiative supports the government’s Digital India mission.

Customers can check the availability of BSNL’s 4G service by calling:

  • 1800-180-1500 (from a BSNL mobile or landline)
  • 1800-345-1500 (from other networks)

New Services Launched by BSNL

  1. Spam-Free Network:

BSNL now filters spam messages and fraudulent calls, ensuring a secure network experience. Fibre internet users can also access BSNL hotspots for high-speed internet at no extra charge.

  1. Fibre-Based TV Service (IFTV):

BSNL’s IFTV service provides fibre internet customers access to over 500 live TV channels without additional costs.

  1. Any Time SIM (ATS) Kiosk:

24/7 kiosks allow users to conveniently purchase, upgrade, or replace SIM cards anytime.

  1. 5G Connectivity for Mining:

BSNL has collaborated with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) to implement indigenous 5G technology in mining operations, enhancing safety and efficiency.

  1. Public Protection and Disaster Relief Network:

This specialized network provides encrypted telecom services during emergencies. Drone- and balloon-based solutions further extend coverage, ensuring reliable communication in disaster scenarios.

These advancements position BSNL as a key player in India’s telecom sector, driving innovation and connectivity for millions of users.
