Oman Starlink Goes Live

Oman’s telecom regulator has approved Starlink to provide broadband internet services across the country using its low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation. This approval will enable high-speed satellite connectivity across all regions in Oman, with speeds reaching up to 100Mbps.

According to the Times of Oman, Starlink—a subsidiary of SpaceX—will also introduce innovative solutions for telecom towers in remote and challenging terrains, aligning with Oman’s digital transformation agenda. Industries such as oil and gas, mining, tourism, and agriculture are expected to benefit significantly from this enhanced connectivity.

This announcement comes shortly after another major milestone for Starlink, as the Vietnamese government recently granted the company a five-year trial license to launch broadband services in the country.
