Nvidia Teams Up with Telecom Leaders to Develop AI-Driven 6G

Beyond its latest product and service announcements, the tech giant Nvidia has committed to collaborating with major telecom players to research and develop AI-powered hardware, software, and network architecture for 6G.

Leading companies such as T-Mobile, Cisco, and Mitre have partnered with the chipmaker to shape next-generation wireless technology, ensuring AI is embedded at the core of the future connectivity standard. “By working with industry leaders, we are building an AI-enhanced 6G network that delivers extreme spectral efficiency,” said CEO Jensen Huang.

As part of this initiative, the company plans to collaborate with telcos to develop a wireless network stack based on its existing AI Aerial platform. It sees AI-powered Radio Access Networks (AI RAN) as a crucial step toward fully AI-native 6G networks.

“Collaborating with these industry leaders to natively integrate AI into networks will enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability, delivering the next generation of experiences for customers and businesses,” said Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile.
