Reliance Jio Losses 10900000 Users

Reliance Jio Losses 10900000 Users

A recent increase in Reliance Jio’s recharge tariffs has led to noticeable consequences. Reports indicate that the tariff hike has begun affecting its user base, with approximately 10.9 million customers leaving Jio in the second quarter.

Despite this, Jio’s 5G subscriber base has grown significantly, adding 17 million new users. The base has risen from 130 million to 147 million. Additionally, Jio’s ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) has increased from ₹181.7 to ₹195.1. However, the overall number of subscribers has seen a decline.

Jio acknowledged the drop in its user base but stated that it would not have a substantial effect on profits. The company remains focused on delivering the best 5G network to its customers. Through its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service, many homes can be connected, providing added benefits to users. Jio emphasized that while losing 10.9 million users presents an opportunity for rival telecom operators, it won’t significantly impact its business.
