BSNL Entry Level Plan Upgraded With Speed Benefits

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has quietly upgraded the speeds of its entry-level broadband plans, although the data limits remain unchanged. Previously, BSNL’s basic plans offered minimal speeds with limited data. However, while the speed has been increased, the data caps have not been adjusted. The plans that received these speed boosts are priced at Rs 249, Rs 299, and Rs 329, catering to budget-conscious users.

BSNL’s Entry-Level Broadband Plans Now Offer Higher Speeds

BSNL’s broadband plans start at Rs 249 per month, with additional options at Rs 299 and Rs 329. All three plans have received speed upgrades. The Rs 249 and Rs 299 plans, which previously offered 10 Mbps, now provide 25 Mbps. Similarly, the Rs 329 plan, which initially offered 20 Mbps, has also been upgraded to 25 Mbps.

In terms of data, the Rs 249 plan includes 10GB of FUP (fair usage policy) data, the Rs 299 plan offers 20GB, and the Rs 329 plan comes with 1000GB. After the FUP limit is reached, speeds drop to 2 Mbps for the Rs 249 and Rs 299 plans and 4 Mbps beyond 1000GB for the Rs 329 plan. It’s worth noting that the Rs 249 and Rs 299 plans are only available for new customers.

While these plans are appealing for budget users, the limited data caps of 10GB and 20GB for the Rs 249 and Rs 299 plans may be a concern, especially given the increased speed of 25 Mbps.
