More Details on BSNL 200 MBPS Plan with OTT

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is among the prominent internet service providers (ISPs) in India. BSNL ventured into the realm of fiber broadband services through its dedicated arm known as Bharat Fibre a few years ago. If you are in the market for a 200 Mbps broadband plan, BSNL Bharat Fibre offers an option worth considering. However, before you decide on the 200 Mbps plan from BSNL, there are some essential aspects to keep in mind. While it appears to be a decent offering (which it certainly is), there are certain factors that potential customers should be aware of.

What to Know About BSNL’s 200 Mbps Plan:

BSNL’s 200 Mbps plan is available for Rs 999, but this is not the sole 200 Mbps plan in their lineup. The Rs 999 plan from BSNL Bharat Fibre delivers 200 Mbps speed and a monthly data allowance of 2TB. Moreover, it includes a complimentary landline connection with unlimited voice calling. The plan also incorporates several OTT (over-the-top) benefits, featuring Disney+ Hotstar, Lionsgate, ShemarooMe, Hungama, SonyLIV, ZEE5, and Yupp TV. However, after consuming 2TB of data, the speed for the consumer drops to 10 Mbps.

BSNL offers another 200 Mbps broadband plan priced at Rs 1499. The reason for the higher cost of this plan is the larger FUP (Fair Usage Policy) data allocation for the consumer. With the Rs 1499 plan, you still get 200 Mbps speed, but the FUP data limit extends to 3.3TB, surpassing the 2TB offered by the Rs 999 plan.

It’s important to note that other ISPs in India provide more affordable 200 Mbps plans. Additionally, even the Rs 1499 plan includes the same OTT benefits as the Rs 999 plan. How do you perceive these 200 Mbps plans from the state-run telco?
